Say hello to the Beast Alpha — the latest hand-built, two-seater from Rezvani. It’s not quite as monstrous as last year’s 700-horsepower Beast X, but still no slouch with 500 hp on tap.
This latest addition to the Rezvani lineup is more of a street ride than a track beast, but it’ll still do donuts with the best of them. The Alpha sports sliding doors and a new removable targa-like top.
The Beast Alpha packs a turbocharged Acura K24 engine under its sweeping hood. At 1,950 pounds, it’s 300 pounds heavier than the original Beast, but will still hit zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds as it rolls on its 18-inch forged alloy wheels.
“We’ve upped the ante with the new Beast Alpha,” said CEO Ferris Rezvani in a statement. “After the success of the Beast, we knew that customers wanted even more. Designed to stir emotions, the Beast Alpha is that car… and then some, delivering a pure driving experience unparalleled in the market.”
Like other Beasts from the Irvine, California builder, it also has slivers for headlights, a low-slung grille, carbon fiber body on an aluminum Lotus monocoque, and carbon steel chassis.
Inside, it gets fancier, more comfortable upgrades than its predecessors. Alcantara and leather trim fill the small cabin, along with air-conditioning, and there’s even airbags.
Now there is also Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for your personal gadgets so you can jam while you jam on it.
Rezvani is now taking orders for the Alpha and prices start at $200,000. Fast times don’t come cheap.
